Architectural Review reported on an astonishing house on a small island off the BC coast and am flabbergasted that such a modern and unique home is right in our backyard. I really expected to see this in Spain or the hills of Switzerland.
The house is 84m long (240 ft give or take a foot!) with the idea that it fits in with the organization of the nature that surrounds it. There isn’t really anything in nature that looks or feels anything like this but I will say that from the inside you really feel like you’re apart of the outside which is a design choice I highly endorse. There are many elements to this house that I’m not 100% onboard but the idea that something so unique and which pushes the limits on modern architecture can be so close to where I live makes me happy.
