Babylonstoren / Cape Winelands Accommodation

South Africa isn’t a place that I’ve wanted to visit as I’m more of a European dreamer but Babylonstoren might just change my mind.  With its 200 hectare farm with vegetable gardens and fruit trees and vineyards within a stones throw this is starting to sound like my kind of place.  All of the architecture is classical in the style of the 17th and 18th century Cape of Good Hope. Characteristic features include soft, whitewashed walls of stone or primitive brick, ornate gables and thatched roofs.
